Modifications list
So far I've done the basic of basic bolt-ons. Edelbrock Headers, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and Holley 600 cfm vacuum secondary carb. According to Car Craft this should equate to roughly 260 hp, but it sure doesn't feel like it. I've got some tuning left to do, and hopefully my transmission will hold out until next summer.

This is a very simple engine to modify, a camshaft and head swap will bump up the power to 385 hp, that's Corvette territory!! I've still got some small tuning adjustments to make, and a transmission swap to preform by late summer 2003(when all this is happening), this Bird's gonna fly!

Recent Mods
On March 4th-ish, I installed a Holley vacuum secondary quick change kit. What this does is it provides a quicker, simpler way to change the secondary spring which controls the rate which the secondaries open.

The Holley provided spring already in the carb was a "black" spring, being the strongest spring opening the secondaries around 3700 RPM with full open @ 8500 RPM. My car seens to like the "plain" spring which opens the secondaries at around 2500 RPM. This is definently a major seat of the pants difference, since it clears up a major restriction to the engine, letting it breath sooner, and obtain more fuel to make more of a punch. The whiplash i'm recovering from means I'm happy [and sore]
